About Geoff Walker

I have extensive experience of working in the field of IT Management and Support, for both the business and education sectors. I have recently retired as Technical Services Coordinator in a large secondary school, where I enjoyed providing vital IT services for colleagues and pupils.

Outside of work, I have always had a keen interest in music. As a child, I learnt to play the piano, organ and trombone and I still try to play as often as possible. The organ is my favourite instrument and I have been a church organist and choirmaster since my teenage years.

I enjoy helping others to learn music and I do this in a number of ways. I teach piano and music theory to children and adults. I am the Musical Director of two adult choirs: Henley Chamber Choir and The Occasional Quire. I am Assistant Musical Director for the Rowantree Choir (a large community choir in Enfield). I am a member of the prestigious Crouch End Festival Chorus My work with choirs sometimes involves creating my own arrangements of pieces to suit the voices I am working with. I am always happy to create rehearsal tracks too, to help people become familiar with their music and sing with confidence.
